Millview Funding is a loan broker, not a lender. These notes explain how requests reach funding partners, why a merchant cash advance is not a loan, and how to read the figures on this site.
Millview Funding's role, merchant cash advances, partner relationships, offers and approvals, and the figures on this site.
How Millview Funding sits between a business and its funding partners
Millview Funding passes a business's funding request to independent funding partners. Each partner runs its own review, makes its own credit decision and writes its own agreement. Millview Funding does not make loans, leases or merchant cash advances, and it does not sign agreements on a partner's behalf.
A merchant cash advance is a purchase of future sales, not a loan
With a merchant cash advance, a provider buys a share of a business's future card or bank receipts at a discount. The provider collects an agreed percentage of those receipts until the purchased amount has been delivered. There is no interest rate; the cost is set by the factor rate in the provider's contract, and the business should read that contract with its own advisor before signing.
No offer, amount or approval is assured by sending a request
A request does not mean a partner will make an offer. Amounts, rates, factor rates, terms and collateral are set by the partner after its review and can differ from anything described here. The request form is a way to be contacted, not a credit application, and a partner that reviews the business may run its own credit check.
Worked examples, Census figures and the limits of this site
Examples marked "Illustration only, invented figures" are arithmetic on made-up numbers, not quotes or offers. Business counts come from U.S. Census Bureau programs (County Business Patterns, ZIP Code Business Patterns, Nonemployer Statistics, the American Community Survey and the Building Permits Survey), and each one covers the county, ZIP Code or place its sentence names. Nothing on this site is legal, tax or accounting advice. The merchant cash advance calculator shows arithmetic on the numbers entered, not a provider's price.
